For those who are blissfully unaware, I'll be living in Dobong-gu, Seoul . Seoul is the capital of the Republic of Korea (or South Korea) and is divided into 25 districts (gu). Below is a picture of the building where I will gleefully spend the next twelve months:
I took the liberty of enlarging the first floor:

I totally dig your "new digs"! Even though I'll miss my besay more than you can ever imagine, I know that you are going to have an amazing time! I'm glad that you are jumping on the opportunity! I love you!
Hey Sis. Just wanted to wish you the best of luck. I'll miss you soooo much. I'll be sure to send pictures of Charlene and have her call you when she can talk. I'm really happy for you. Well I love you and Talk to you later!
Hey Debs - haven't spoken to you in a long time. You're teaching English right?
Korea is pretty awesome.. I have a few friends from there. I was quite intereseted in Hapkido at one point. Check out some of the gardens, I've heard that the garden of Changdeok Palace in Seoul is good - it has a lotus pond AND a pavillion of cosmic union ... FAR OUT!
Take care and enjoy your adventures! x
I am very excited for you, this will be such an adventure, I would come and visit in a heartbeat but, well you know how I feel about flying! Send me some good recipes (no fish heads please). Love you amd have fun. Love, Grandma
The house will be lonely. I'll miss nagging you about cleaning your room, because the ladies are coming. I hope you keep your blog. This will be a great way of keeping in touch. Who knows, maybe I'll surprise you and make a trip out there. Enjoy this great opportunity and I will miss you sooooo much!!!! Love you Honey, Jo (aka:Mom)
I think it's a great opportunity for you and I am big believer of "the gut feeling". All the luck to you, have a great trip....
I love the pix. You are so brave to take on this kind of adventure! I'm glad I won't have to miss you so terribly because of the blog and pictures I'll feel like I'm there. I think Bridget has already practically bought our plane tickets out there so I don't think I'll have a choice about visiting! In the mean time you can count on me for a good wink every now and then. ;)

Deb! If you're not still in the air, literally, bring us up to date. The Thursday Night Gang met last week (minus 3) and we talked about you (in the nicest of terms) and missed you. Love your building and the new digs. Take pictures as you start decorating. This is going to be such an adventure for you. Reach out to everyone you meet. I can't think of a better ambassador from American than you. We're counting on you to pave the way for the rest of us. This will be such an opportunity for your personal and professional growth. And the challenges you meet head-on will strengthen you. I cannot wait to hear of your successes.
XOXOXO Carolyn
